How do I add a withholding tax number to a 1099 vendor?
Add the withholding tax number to a 1099 vendor. You may need to include the withholding tax number in the electronic 1099 file. When you select the 1099 vendor state, the 1099 Information section will show a box for entering a withholding tax number. The 2022.05 release supports this feature for the state of Wisconsin (WI).
Adding a withholding tax number to a 1099 vendor
1. Open Connect Accounts Payable > Vendors > Modify Existing Vendors.
2. Find the section titled 1099 Information on the Vendor tab.

3. Use the State box to select the two-character state abbreviation for Wisconsin (WI).

4. Use the IA Withholding Permit Number box to enter the withholding permit number for the 1099 vendor.
