What is a taxing district?

A taxing district groups together the taxing entities that will apply a tax on the taxing district. If you don't know which taxing district the asset belongs to, you can use Modify Existing Assets to fill in this field later.

Do you know the taxing district for the asset?

  • The asset belongs to an existing taxing district. Select the taxing district name from the Taxing District drop-down list.

  • The asset belongs to a new taxing district. Click on the Taxing District field, and then type in a taxing district name.
