How do I change properties assigned to a business?

Updating properties assigned to a business allows you to keep property and location information accurate and current. This helps ensure the business is associated with the correct addresses or operating locations for tax collection, reporting, billing, and account management purposes.

You might update assigned properties when a business moves, expands to additional locations, closes a location, or when property information changes. Keeping property assignments up to date also helps support accurate reporting, compliance, audits, and operational tracking within Business Tax Collection.

 

Changing properties assigned to a business

1. Open Connect Business Tax Collection > Business > Modify Existing Businesses.

2.  Use the Look Up bar to enter a business name or number. Press Enter.

3. Click on a section to update it.

4. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The business is updated.
