How do I link a business to a master contact?

Caselle can display all of the related accounts so you can see the all of the information linked to the master contact.

Linking a business to a master contact allows you to associate the business with a primary person or organization responsible for communication and account management. This helps keep contact information centralized and ensures that important notices, billing information, and tax-related communications are directed to the correct contact.

You might link a business to a master contact to improve account organization, maintain consistent contact records across multiple businesses or locations, streamline communication, or support reporting and customer service activities.


Preparation

  • Make sure the contact is saved in the Master Contact table in System Management.

Linking a business to a master contact

1. Open Connect Business Tax Collection > Businesses > Modify Existing Businesses.

2. Click to select the field titled Business, and then enter the business name or number. Press Enter.

3. Find the field titled Master Contact on the Business tab.

4. Enter the master contact name or number.

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The business is linked to a master contact. Connect will add the business address to the list of related contacts associated with the master contact record.
