You would add or remove a Schedule Type to manage the different categories of court events and hearings used in the scheduling system. Adding schedule types allows the court to create and organize new hearing or event categories, while removing outdated or unused types helps keep scheduling accurate and consistent. Courts use this process to improve calendar management, support reporting, and ensure court events are classified correctly within the system.
Guidelines:
Set at least one schedule type.
Create a record for a new schedule type.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Schedule Types.
2. Click New (CTRL+N).
3. Fill in the options on the form. Use the sections in this help topic to fill in each field. The fields are listed in alphabetical order.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The schedule type is saved.
Update the information on a saved schedule type.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Schedule Types.
2. Use the Lookup bar to enter a schedule type. Press Enter.
3. Now, edit the schedule type properties.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The updated schedule type is saved.
You cannot remove a schedule type when related transactions exist.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Schedule Types.
2. Use the Lookup bar to enter a schedule type. Press Enter.
3. Click Delete (CTRL+D).
The schedule type is deleted.
A slot refers to a defined measure of time that is defined in minutes or hours. Use Allow [ _ ] Appointments per Slot to define the number of appointments a user can schedule in a given slot.
For example, Jane wants to schedule only one appointment for each slot. When that one appointment is filled the slot is full. Another user can add another appointment to the filled slot and a warning informs the user that the slot has been filled. Jane sets the Allow [ _ ] Appointments per Slot to 1.

On the other hand, if Smith prefers to schedule two appointments per slot in case one of the appointments cancels or ends early. Smith sets the Allow [ _ ] Appointments per Slot to 2. Now, there are two available appointments during the allotted time.

Use Allow New Appointments to allow a user to add a new appointment to the schedule type. Usually, this checkbox is selected.
Use Color to assign a color to a schedule type. The text for the schedule type will display in the assigned color and a solid bar will appear in the left margin to indicate the schedule type is displayed on the screen.
The color swatch next to the Color Wheel is the color assigned to the schedule type.
Click the Color Wheel to change the assigned color.
A warning displays on the screen when a user needs to know information that may affect a decision or action. Use this option to display a warning on the screen when appointments are scheduled for the same time.
Use Normal Hours to enter the usual beginning and ending time for each day assigned to the schedule type. Normal hours generally refers to the typical hours of business for the schedule type.
A schedule organizes appointments by time and date. You can create a separate schedule, or schedule type, for different appointment categories.
A group is a category for collecting assets with similar characteristics, features, or functions. You can use a group to track and report transactions created for a schedule type by transaction type.
A user is a person who is assigns an appointment.
