How do I add an amount to a copied budget amount?

If you have already used a "Copy" routine to copy amounts to a budget, using the "Copy" routine again will add the new amount to the existing amount. Running a "Copy" routine again will not delete the budget transaction that was created when you ran the "Copy" routine the first time.

Replacing a copied budget amount with a new budget amount

1. Delete the copied budget amounts from the budget journal.

For instructions on how to delete copied budget amounts, see the help topic titled How do I delete budget transactions? You'll need to remove all of the budget transactions that you will replace when you run the "Copy" routine again.

2. Run the "Copy" routine to copy the new budget amounts to the budget journal.

3. Use Account Inquiry to review the copied amounts to make sure they are correct.

You're done.
