Assign a pay code to a position to calculate the leave rate on an active position. You can set up a pay code to calculate on all employees that are assigned to a position, or narrow the field with a pay code that only calculates on employees that have been assigned to a specific position.
Add the pay code to the Pay Codes table (Organization > Pay Codes).
You'll need the position number if you're assigning a pay code to a specific position.
1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Pay Codes.
2. Use the Pay Code field to enter the pay code that you'd like to assign to a position. Press Enter.
3. Click to select the Employee tab.
4. Use the Position menu to select All Positions.

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The pay code calculates on all employees assigned to a position.

3. Click to select the Employee tab.
4. Use the Position menu to select Position Number.
5. Use the field titled Position Number to enter a position number.
The pay code will only calculate on the position assigned to the position number.

Use Organization > Positions and then click the Departments tab. You can view or assign the position number in the field titled Position Control Number.
6. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The pay code calculates on employees that are assigned to the position number.
