How do I change the FTE percent?

Assign the full-time equivalent to an employee position. FTE is an acronym for Full Time Equivalent. FTE is a unit of work by an employee that allows the organization to compare workloads across different positions. FTE is sometimes used as a metric for measuring and reducing cost based on an employee's participation in a project. The maximum FTE percent allowed on any position is 100%.

Changing the FTE percent

1. Open Connect Payroll > Employees > Modify Existing Employees.

2. Use the Employee field to enter an employee name or number. Press Enter.

3. Click to select the Positions tab.

4. Use the pane on the Positions tab to select the position that you want to update.

5. Use the FTE Percent box to enter the percent of the employee's time spent filling this position.

Why can't I save my changes? The FTE percent for all of the positions assigned to the employee must equal 100%.

The FTE percent is saved.
