Use hours recorded in Timekeeping to calculate payroll. If you are using Connect Timekeeping and Connect Online Timekeeping to track the hours worked by employees, then you can use Import Hours from Timekeeping to import the employee hours to calculate payroll checks and employee benefits.
1. Open Connect Payroll > Employees > Import Hours from Timekeeping.
2. Set up the report options.
These instructions will help you import the original employee hours stored in the Timekeeping application Do not use these instructions to import hours that have already been imported from the Timekeeping application.
Selection criteria
Set up the selection criteria to select the employees to include in the import file.

Include time manually entered or imported
Select the checkbox to import time that was entered using the Timekeeping application, a third-party timekeeping application, or both.
Time manually entered includes time entered by an application administrator in the Timekeeping application. Time imported refers to time that was created by a third party application and imported into the Timekeeping application.

Include time from Connect Online
Select the checkbox to import time that was entered using Connect Online. Connect Online is the internet-supported portal and Connect Timekeeping is the Connect console. This option will not include time entered using the Connect console.

Next, choose the time entry type. Choose approved and submitted to include both time entries that are approved and time entries that are submitted. Choose only approved to only include time entires that are approved. Time entreis that are submitted but not approved will not be included in the import file.
Update x hours
Update hours that have already been updated
Do not select this checkbox. This option is for replacing hours that have been imported for the pay period with the new imported hours.
Update hours that have already been updated
Choose Report Only to print a report of the imported hours without creating transactions for the imported hours. This option is helpful if you would like to review the hours that will be imported for each employee.
Choose Report to print a report and create transactions for the imported hours. Use this option to save the imported hours report for later.
Choose No Report to create transactions for the imported hours without printing a report.
Report order
Sort the report order by employee number or employee name.
4. Click GO (CTRL+G).
