Use activity codes to flag transactions that belong to an activity. When you update transactions to General Ledger, you can use Activity Inquiry to track transactions that are linked to an activity code.

Allow users to create activities in General Ledger.
Do this...
1. Open Connect General Ledger > Organization > Organization.
2. Find the checkbox titled Use Activity Reporting on the Organization tab.
3. Click to select the checkbox titled Use Activity Reporting.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
Activity reporting is active. All of the options and features linked to activity reporting will be accessible in Connect. The next step is to add the activities that you want to track to the Activity table. See the help topic titled How do I set up a new activity?
Set up the activity reporting interface in Payroll. You can assign an activity code to a transaction to flag it for activity reporting.
1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Organization.
2. Click to select the Interfaces tab.
3. Click to select the General Ledger subtab.
4. Click to select the Allow Activity Reporting checkbox.
5. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The application is set up to use activity reporting.
