Show leave balance summary with future calculation

Issue

I want to view a leave balance summary on the Employee Requests page so I can see the current and future leave balance. 

 

Explanation

In Connect Online Payroll, you can view your leave balance for the current period and your leave balance for a future period. Reviewing both balances helps you understand how much leave you have now and how much will be available later.

 

Current Period Balance

Your current period balance shows the amount of leave you have available right now. This balance reflects:

  • Leave already accrued
  • Leave already taken
  • Leave that has been approved and deducted

Employees often review the current balance when planning immediate time off or confirming how much leave is available today.

 

Future Period Balance

Your future period balance shows how much leave you are expected to have after upcoming accruals or scheduled leave are applied. This helps you:

  • Plan future vacations or extended leave
  • See how scheduled leave requests will affect your balance
  • Understand how future accruals will increase your available leave

 

Why Both Are Useful

Viewing both balances gives you a clearer picture of your leave:

  • Current balance shows what you can use today.
  • Future balance helps you plan leave for upcoming weeks or months.

Together, these balances help ensure you request leave with an accurate understanding of your available time.

 

Solution

The Leave Balance section has been added to the Employee Requests page. It shows the leave balance for the current, pending, scheduled, and future periods.
