How do I print the GL Update report?
Print the GL Update Report to review and verify the General Ledger transactions generated from Property Improvements before or after they are posted to the Caselle General Ledger.
The GL Update Report provides a summary of financial activity that is being transferred to the General Ledger. Reviewing this report helps confirm that transactions are accurate, complete, and assigned to the appropriate accounting accounts.
What Happens When You Print the GL Update Report?
When the GL Update Report is printed:
General Ledger transactions are displayed for review.
Posting amounts and account distributions can be verified.
Financial activity generated by Property Improvements is summarized.
Potential posting issues can be identified before reconciliation.
A record of the General Ledger update process is created for audit and reporting purposes.
When Should You Print the GL Update Report?
Print the GL Update Report when:
Transactions are being prepared for posting to the General Ledger.
You need to verify account distributions and posting amounts.
Month-end or period-end reconciliation is being performed.
Financial activity requires review before or after posting.
Audit or reporting procedures require documentation of General Ledger updates.
Before Printing the GL Update Report
Review the following information before proceeding:
Billing, payment, adjustment, and write-off activity has been completed.
Transactions selected for General Ledger posting are accurate.

The correct reporting period has been selected.

Printing the GL Update report
1. Open Connect Property Improvements > Organization > Update General Ledger.
2. Use the Selection Criteria to select the transactions to include in the report.
3. Click to select the checkbox titled Print GL Update Report.
4. Click GO (CTRL+G).
The selected transactions print on the GL Update Report. The last page of the report prints a list of errors in the GL update that need your attention.
