How do I change billing periods on a frequency code?


A billing period is the total amount of billed amount within a given portion of time, usually equal to a calendar month. You can set up a frequency code to bill a service in a specific billing period during the year. Setting up different billing periods allows you to customize the billing period for different services. 

Bill every period

Select every checkbox to bill each period.

 

Bill every quarter

Select one checkbox every three periods to bill each quarter.

 

Bill once a year

Select a checkbox to bill annually. This example will bill once a year in Period 1, but you can choose any period you wish.

 

Changing a billing periods on frequency code

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Frequency Codes.

2. Look up the frequency code. 

3. In the section titled Billing Periods, select the billing periods to bill a service. 

A checkmark means the billing period is selected. See the examples above to see how to set up a frequency code to bill once a period, bill once a quarter, or bill annually.
