Connect will use the default format to print the values in a column. You can replace the default format with the format that best suits the purpose of the report.
You can format a
Standard number. This is any number.
Currency. This is a number that displays a monetary amount.
Percentage. This is a number that displays a percentage.
Special. This includes numbers that are not covered by the standard, currency, and percentage categories. For example, a bank account number, Social Security number, Tax ID, or a Zip Code.
Custom. This is for columns that may display more than one number or may require a variation of a number format.
1. Open a report.
2. Click to select the Columns tab.
3. Use the Section menu to select the report section that will contain the new report line.
4. Click to select a column that displays a number.
The column properties display on the Column subtab.
5. Find the section titled Format.
6. Click to select the option titled Custom.
7. Click to select the button at the end of the Custom field.
The Number Format form displays.
8. Click to select a number format from the list.
9. Click OK.
Connect will use the selected format to display the numbers in the column.
