How do I set the default Save As option?

Use Save Options to define the Save As Type, filename, Characters per Inch, and Variables. The application will use these settings to create the saved file. The options on the Save As tab will only be available when the Save As checkbox is selected as the Output Option.

Save as type

This is the file the application will create. When you click Print, the print job will be saved as Excel (.exlx), PDF (.pdf), Rich Text File (.rtf), or Text (.txt).

File Name

The file name identifies a file stored on a computer or network. If the file is stored in the default Caselle directory, enter the filename followed by the file extension (image.gif). If the file is stored in a different directory, include the drive name (d:\ap_vendors\trxn_rpt.pdf).

Insert Counter, Date, Time

A variable is a word or phrase that can represent a value such as a total or quantity or text such as a counter, date, or time stamp. To use a variable, click the dynamic button (at the end of the File Name field) and then select a variable to insert in the file name.
