Understanding Zift payment confirmations

What is Zift?

Zift is the secure payment service used by the portal to process online payments.

When you make a payment in the portal, Zift handles the transaction behind the scenes—making sure your payment information is encrypted, authorized, and safely delivered to the appropriate parties.

What Zift does

Zift is responsible for:

  • Securely processing online payments
  • Communicating with banks and card providers
  • Confirming whether a payment is approved, pending, or failed
  • Sending payment confirmations

Zift does not set your fees or manage your account—it simply processes the payment.

How Zift works with the portal

When you submit a payment:

  1. The portal sends the payment request to Zift
  2. Zift verifies and processes the transaction
  3. The payment status is returned to the portal
  4. You receive a confirmation or status update

This happens automatically and usually takes only a few moments.

What Zift doesn’t do

Zift does not:

  • Control charge amounts or due dates
  • Manage community rules or policies
  • Provide account-level support

Those details are managed by your community or the portal itself.

Good to know

  • Zift is a trusted third-party payment processor
  • Your payment details are never stored directly in the portal
  • Seeing “Zift” on a confirmation or statement is expected

Zift payment confirmations

After you submit an online payment, Zift sends a confirmation to let you know your payment was received and is being processed or completed.

Confirmation methods

Zift sends payment confirmations using the contact information on your account.

You may receive confirmation through:

  • Email, sent to the email address associated with your account
  • On-screen confirmation, displayed immediately after payment

In some cases, both are provided.

When you’ll receive confirmation

  • An on-screen confirmation appears right after you submit payment
  • Email confirmations are typically sent within a few minutes

If you don’t see an email, check your spam or junk folder.

What the confirmation includes

A payment confirmation usually shows:

  • The payment amount
  • The date and time of the transaction
  • A confirmation or reference number
  • The payment status (such as pending or completed)

This information helps you track and verify your payment.

If you don’t receive a confirmation

If you didn’t receive a confirmation:

  • Make sure your email address is correct in your account settings
  • Check spam or junk folders
  • Look for the payment in your portal’s payment history

If the payment appears in your history, it was successfully submitted.

Good to know

  • A confirmation means the payment was received, not necessarily completed
  • Some payment methods may take additional time to fully process
  • You can always view payment details in your account
