Set up an employee's timesheet with the tasks and activities the employee will usually need to fill in a timesheet. Each time an employee fills out a timesheet, the timesheet will show the tasks and activities that have been assigned to the employee's position.
Add the timekeeping tasks to the Task Codes table. See the help topic titled How do I add a task code?

1. Open Connect Timekeeping Employees Modify Existing Employees.
2. Enter the employee name or number in the Lookup bar. Press Enter.

3. Click to select the Positions tab.

If the employee is assigned to more than one position, use the grid on the Positions tab to select the position to update.

4. Click to select the Templates tab.
5. Click Add Templates.

The Search form displays a list of task codes.
6. Select a task and then click OK.
You need to click to select a task. The task may look like it is selected, but it's not selected until you click on it.

7. Click to select the blank cell under the Activity column.

8. Now, find the field titled Activity and click the Search button at the end of it.

The Search form displays a list of activity codes for the selected activity. If the activity code is not assigned to the task, the activity code will not be included in the list.

9. Click to select a task code and then click OK.
The activity code displays in the field titled Activity. You can link the activity code to a GL activity and job number if you're tracking that information.
10. Press Enter to accept the activity code.
The activity code displays in the grid. The tasks and activities that display in this grid will be included in the timesheet template for the employee's position.

11. Repeat steps 5 to 10 to add another task and activity to the template.
12. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The template is set up and saved for the employee's position.
