How do I copy an employee template to my department template?

If an employee has a template that you want to use as the department template or an employee template is close to the department template that you want to create, you can copy the employee template to the department template.


Copying tasks and activities from an employee template

1. Open Connect Timekeeping Organization Departments.

2. Click to select the Timekeeping tab.

3. Click to select the Templates tab.

4. Click Copy Templates From an Employee .

5. Set up the Copy Templates From Employee Position window.

Use the Employee box to enter the employee name or number of an employee who is in your department.

If the employee has more than one position, use the Position box to select the template that you want to copy.


Click OK.

 

The tasks and activities from the template for the selected employee position is copied to the department template.

 

6. Check if the tasks and activities on the department template are correct.

Remember, the changes that you make to the department template will only affect new employees. Changes that you make to the department template will need to be updated manually to employees who already have an employee template.  


7. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The department template is saved.
