Set up the time when a shift ends. Timekeeping will use the days in the shift to calculate the last day in the shift and then it will use the week ending time to determine at what time of the day the shift ends.
If the shift is assigned to a department and the department has a week ending day and time, the shift will use the week ending time for the department. You can choose a different week ending time for each department.
If the shift is not assigned to a department, the shift will use the week ending time for the organization.
For example, some organizations end the pay period at noon instead of midnight. Other organizations end the pay period at a different time of day for different shifts. You can use the week ending time to calculate hours and save the hours in the pay period.
This feature is available in the 2022.05 release.
Setting the Week Ending [DDD] [HH:MM] allows you to choose the day and time when the pay period ends.
Timekeeping, Organization, Week ending day and time
You can also set the week ending day and time for each department. This is optional. When the department has a week ending day and time, it will override the week ending day and time that's set for the organization.
Timekeeping, Departments, Week ending day and time
Any shifts that are set up will use the week ending time that's set for the organization to calculate employee hours for employees who work a shift and place them in the proper pay period. Unless the employee is assigned to a department that has a week ending day and time, in which case, the shift will use the week ending day and time from the department instead of using the week ending day and time that's set for the organization.
