Issue
I would like to know when my timesheet moves to the next step in the approval process so I will know when my timesheet is approved. How do I do that?
Solution
In the 2024.11 release, the timesheet status is included in the timesheet summary section at the top of the page. The timesheet status will be updated when you click Submit. It will also be updated when you make an entry in the timesheet. Entering a time punch will not update the timesheet status unless you also refresh the page.
If you are an approver who is approving timesheets, the timesheet status will be updated when you click Approve, Decline, or Clear the submission.
Here's a list of timesheet status values that may be displayed in the timesheet summary section.
Approval - [Approval Step]
The timesheet is in an approval process. It is being reviewed.
Approved - [Approval Step]
The timesheet is an an approval process. It has been approved for the approval step.
Approved
The timesheet has been approved. The timesheet has finished the approval process.
Declined
The timesheet was denied approval.
New
The employee's start date is after the pay period end date.
No Entries
If the timesheet has not been submitted, the timesheet status will show "No entries," when timesheet does not have any time punches or hours allocations.
Not Submitted
The timesheet has an hours allocation.
Returned to employee
The timesheet has been returned to you. You need to update or modify the timesheet and resubmit it.
