Where do I set an overtime test?
Overtime occurs when an employee works additional hours in excess of the 40 hour workweek. Use the Overtime Test Method to define the workweek for calculating overtime pay. Use weekly to define the workweek as seven consecutive days. Use shift for employees that work shifts instead of the standard 40-hour workweek. Use daily when the overtime calculates based on the standard 8-hour work day.
Setting an overtime test
1. Open Connect Timekeeping Employees Modify Existing Employees.
2. Use the Employee field to enter an employee name or number. Press Enter.
3. Use the field titled Overtime Test Method to select an option.
Use weekly to define the workweek as seven consecutive days. Use shift for employees that work shifts instead of the standard 40-hour workweek. Use daily when the overtime calculates based on the standard 8-hour work day.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The overtime test is saved.
