Make changes to 1099 balances for a vendor. Entering an adjustment allows you to set or clear the 1099 type and 1099 amount on specific invoices. The view will display 1099 type vendors and non-1099 vendor types.
This view was updated to a new look and feel in the 2023.11 release. In the earlier version, when you were completing the year-end checklist, you had to change the vendor type and then adjust 1099 balances. In the updated version, you can adjust 1099 balances for a vendor even when the vendor type is not set to a 1099 type vendor.
Change the 1099 type assigned to a vendor to a new 1099 type. Or change a non-1099 vendor to a 1099 vendor.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Accounts Payable > Vendors > Adjust 1099 Balances.
2. Select the tax year and vendor number.
3. Use the 1099 Type menu to select a new 1099 type.
Tip: To launch the employee record, use the menu button at the end of the Vendor box to select Modify. Clicking Modify will open the selected vendor record in Modify Existing Employees.
