How do I send an email notification?

When you run the routine to create a new tax return, you'll have the option to send email. Selecting the checkbox titled Send Email will use the email template linked to the email type for creating a new tax return to generate the email that Connect will send to the account owner.


Requirements

  • Set up an email template for the email type. See the help topic titled How do I set up email templates?

Sending an email notification

1. Open Connect Business Tax Collection > Businesses > Create New Returns.

2. Set up the options on the Create New Returns form.

3. Click to select the checkbox titled Send Email.

4. Click GO (CTRL+G).

When the tax return is created, Connect will send a notification email to the business.
