How do I set up Cash Receipting to receive Business Tax Collection payments?

If you are using the Cash Receipting application to receive payments for Business Tax Collection, you'll need to set up the Business Tax Collection categories. On the other hand, if you're using the Business Tax Collection application to receive payments you can skip this section.


Setting up Cash Receipting for Business Tax Collection payments

1. Open Caselle Connect > Cash Receipting > Organization > Categories.

2. Click New (CTRL+N).

3. Set up these fields to add the Business Tax Collections category:

  • Category code: Assign a unique category code.

  • Description: Type Business Tax Collections.

  • Priority: Assign a priority number or leave this field blank.

  • Interface: Select Business Tax Collection 4.x.

  • Database information: If the Business Tax Collection 4.x database is located on the same server as the Cash Receipting database, then skip this step. If the Business Tax Collection 4.x database is located on a different server, set up the Server, Database, and Connect Using options.

4. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The program should be in New mode.

5. Set up the necessary fields to add the Business Tax Fees category.

6. Click Close.

You're done.
