How do I add an offense description?
You would add an offense description to the Dispositions Report to provide clearer detail about the charges associated with each case disposition. Including offense descriptions helps court staff, auditors, and other users quickly identify the specific violations or offenses involved without needing to reference the full case record. Courts use this option to improve report readability, support reporting accuracy, and provide more complete case outcome documentation.
Adding an offense description
To add an offense description to the Dispositions Report, add the [Report].Offense Description variable
to the Selection Criteria and Columns. Adding the variable to the Selection
Criteria will allow you to filter dispositions by offense description.

on the report.

Setting up the Selection Criteria
Double-click the Column header. Use the Selection window to move the
[Report].Offense Description
variable to the Selected Selection Criteria Fields list. When you're done,
click OK.

Setting up Columns
Click the Columns tab.

Next, click Modify Columns for the Report Line.

Move the [Report].Offense Description
variable to the Selected Columns list, and then click OK.
