How do I view encumbrance detail? (Account Inquiry)
Use the drill-down capability in Account Inquiry to view transactions that are related to an encumbrance amount. Clicking on the amount will show the transaction details: transaction date, GL account, reference number, description, and journal code.
The transaction detail will show you where and how your funds are allocated. Anyone who has access to Account Inquiry can view the encumbrance detail.
Viewing encumbrance detail
1. Open Connect General Ledger > Account Inquiry.
2. Click to select the Detail tab.
3. Click on an encumbrance amount.

Debit Amount column
The encumbrance detail displays in the Accounts Payable Transaction Details window.
