New Trust Report

A trust is a legal document that records the bond amount, address, date, and terms. Use the New Trust Report to view new trust amounts.

A New Trust Report lists trust funds or bond payments that were newly created during a selected time period. It provides details about recently received trust deposits, including the defendant, case number, amount, and date received. Courts use the report to track incoming trust activity, verify deposits, and support daily balancing and financial reconciliation.

Which report do I need?

  • Use Bond Trusts by Case Number to print transactions for bond  trusts that occurred during the report date range.  

  • Use Cash Trusts by Case Number to print transactions for cash trusts that took place during the report date range.


Do this...

1. Open Connect Court Management > Reports > New Trust Report.

2. Select a report title.

3. Enter the Report Dates.

Report Dates is the report date range. The report will use the report date range to select transactions to print on the report.

Do you want to use the current month as the report date range?

  • Yes, I want to use the current month. Continue to the next step.

  • No, I want to use a different date range. Change the Report Date, or click Advanced Options.  


4. Set up the option to Include Bond Trusts.

A bond  trust is a legal document that records the bond amount and terms with the understanding that the bond company promises to guarantee the appearance of the defendant.

What do you want to do?

  • I want to include bond trusts. Click to select Include Bond Trusts.

  • I do not want to include bond trusts. Click to deselect Include Bond Trusts.  


5. Set up the option to Include Cash Trusts.

A cash trust is an amount that is left in the care or guardianship of another.  

What do you want to do?

  • I want to include cash trusts. Click to select Include Cash Trusts.

  • I do not want to include cash trusts. Click to deselect Include Cash Trusts.  


6. Click Print (CTRL+P).

The report prints.
