Physical Inventory Worksheet

Use this report to support physical inventory counting activities. The Physical Inventory Worksheet provides a list of inventory items and space to record actual quantities on hand. This worksheet helps users verify inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, support inventory reconciliation, prepare for audits, and maintain accurate inventory records. It is commonly used during periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and year-end inventory reviews.

 

Print Physical Inventory Worksheet

Set up the report properties.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Materials Management > Reports > Physical Inventory Worksheet.

2. Select a report title.

3. Set up the Only Include Top Items checkbox.

The inventory worksheet prints inventory items based on the inventory's contribution to the total inventory value. This option lets you print an abbreviated version of the Inventory Worksheet that only includes the inventory items that make up the top percentage of all of the inventory items on the worksheet.

Do you want to include inventory items based on the amount the inventory item contributes to the total inventory value?

  • Yes, I want to include inventory items based on the inventory's contribution to the total inventory value. Select the Only Include the Top Items checkbox. Then, enter a percentage in the [ _ ] % of the Total Inventory Value field.

  • No, I do not want to include inventory items based on the inventory's contribution to the total inventory value. Deselect the Only Include the Top Items checkbox.  


4. Set up the Include Inactive Inventory checkbox.

Inactive Inventory is inventory that has an activation date or termination date.

Do you want to include inactive inventory?

  • Yes, I want to include inactive inventory. Select the Include Inactive Inventory checkbox. This option will include all active inventory items and inactive inventory items.  

  • No, I only want to include active inventory. Deselect the Include Inactive Inventory checkbox. This option will exclude inventory items with an activation date that occurs after the report date or termination date that occurs before the report date. 


5. Set up the Print Location Detail checkbox.

The location detail prints one row for each inventory item and location.

Do you want to print the location detail?

  • Yes, I want to print the location detail. Select the Print Location Detail checkbox to show inventory on hand at each location.

  • No, I want to summarize inventory items. Deselect the Print Location Detail checkbox. This option will print the inventory item total for all of the inventory on hand regardless of location.  


6. Enter the Blank Lines Between Items.

Print a blank line after a record to make the report easier to read.

How many blank lines do you want to print between inventory items?

  • Enter a number (1-999) in the Blank Line Between Items field. Usually, this value is 1.  


7. Click Print (CTRL+P).

The worksheet prints.

Include inactive inventory

Inactive Inventory is inventory that has an activation date or termination date.

  • Yes, I want to include inactive inventory. Select the Include Inactive Inventory checkbox. This option will include all active inventory items and inactive inventory items.  

  • No, I only want to include active inventory. Deselect the Include Inactive Inventory checkbox. This option will exclude inventory items with an activation date that occurs after the report date or termination date that occurs before the report date.
