Issue

The employee is a department manager or the person who the department reports to. 

 

Explanation

The employees in a department report to the department manager. The department manager will report to another employee. The employee cannot be terminated because the employee is the department manager or the employee the department manager reports to.  

 

Solution

Remove the employee from the department manager and the person the department manager reports to and replace them with another employee. [More]

Do this...

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Departments. 

2. Look up the department. 

3. If the employee is the department manager, assign a new department manager. 

4. If the employee is the person who the department manager reports to, assign a new person for the department manager to report to.
