Error: Employee is a member of an approval step

Issue

The employee is an approver who is assigned to an approval step. 

 

Explanation

The employee cannot be terminated because the employee is the only approver who is assigned to an approval step. If the employee is terminated, no one will be assigned to the approval step and the approval process will not work as it should work. 

 

Solution

To fix this error, remove the employee from the approval step. If the employee is the only approver assigned to the approval step, you will need to assigned another approver to the approval step. [More]


Do this...

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Approval Steps.

2. Click . 

3. Move the employee from the Selected Employees list to the Available Employees list. 

4. Click OK.
