Error_Pay_code_has_a_next_level_date_that_has_past

Error: Pay code ##-## has a next level date that has past

Issue

The employee has a leave pay code that shows the leave pay code rate was scheduled to be updated to the next level on a date that has past.

Explanation

A leave pay code is attached to a leave rate, the leave rate tells the pay code how to calculate leave. In some organizations, the leave rate level may change to a new leave rate level when the employee has an anniversary, a certain period of time has elapsed, and so on. The date when the new leave rate level will be applied is recorded in the leave rate as the next level date. Updating leave levels will update the leave rate to use the new leave rate level, but the employee may have been excluded from the update and now the next level date shows a date that occurs in the past.

Solution

Running Update Leave Levels will update the leave rate level to the next leave rate level for the leave pay code.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Payroll > Employees > Update Leave Levels.

2. Change the Employee.Name value to the employee name listed on the error report.

3. Click GO  (CTRL+G).
