Data format comparability. Convert the retirement report into a format that Empower can read and process correctly.
Data mapping. The export file allows for precise mapping of your data (for example, employee contributions, earnings, and other retirement plan details) to the specific fields that Empower expects. This ensures all necessary information is included and formatted according to their system's requirements.
Regulatory compliance. The state retirement report needs to meet specific regulatory or reporting standards. Exporting the report into a standardized format ensures compliance with these rules, allow Empower to process the information correctly, maintain accurate records, and submit the necessary reports.
The report definition for creating the Empower export file is included in the 2025.05 release.
