Is the Federal ID number correct?

  • Yes, the Federal ID number is correct. You're done.

  • No, the Federal ID number is not correct. If the information is not correct, make your changes to the Federal Withholding Tax (76-00) pay code in the Payroll application. (To learn how to look up the Federal pay code and where the Federal ID number is located, see the help topic titled First, Verify the Federal ID Number.) Next, return to Step 6b. Convert year-end tax information in the Payroll Year-end Checklist.

Important! Updated information in the Payroll application will not be updated in the Government Reporting application unless you run Convert Year-end Tax Information. Connect uses the information in the Government Reporting application to print W-2s and create the electronic W-2 file.
