What is a pay code type?

Payroll uses the pay code type to define how the pay code functions in the application. Most of the pay codes the organization uses will be set up for you when Caselle sets up Payroll. Here's a list of types that you can assign to a pay code:

  • 1099 Contract Labor

  • 1099 Dividend

  • 1099 Interest

  • 1099 Other

  • 1099 Prizes

  • 1099 Rents

  • 1099 Retirement

  • 1099 Royalties

  • Deduction

  • Direct Deposit Net

  • Earned Income Credit

  • Expense

  • Federal Unemployment

  • Federal Withholding

  • Fringe Benefit

  • Gross Miscellaneous

  • Gross Overtime

  • Gross Regular

  • Gross Tips Collected

  • Info Tips Reported

  • Informational

  • Local Tax

  • Medicare

  • Medicare Premium

  • Net

  • Retirement

  • Social Security

  • State Unemployment

  • State Withholding

  • Workers Compensation

 

Changing the pay code type

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Pay Codes.

2. Look up a pay code.

3. Click to select the Pay Code tab.

4. Use the Type menu to change the pay code type.

Type

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The pay code type is updated.
