Why can't I access Modify Existing Employees?

You may not have access to Modify Existing Employees because of separation of duties. The next best way to get employee information, is to use Employee Inquiry. You can use the Inquiry button in the toolbar or you can use the Employee Inquiry link on the Payroll main menu. 

In Employee Inquiry, you cannot make changes to employee information but you can see everything that's in the employee profile. You can see the employee's pay history, position information, W-4 information, contacts, and leave. Employee Inquiry will not show the employee pay codes. If you need to make changes or review the employee pay codes, you will need to contact a user who can access Modify Existing Employees.
