Warning: Reconvert information for tax year YYYY

Issue

I'm converting year-end tax information for the current payroll year and then this warning message pops up. 


Explanation

Converting year-end information transfers employee information from the Payroll application into the Government Reporting application. The converted information is the information the Government Reporting application will use to print W-2s. 

If you need to make corrections to an employee's information you have the option of making the change in the Government Reporting application or updating the information in the Payroll application and then reconverting the employee's year-end information. Reconverting will replace the information in the Government Reporting application with the new information. This is important because any changes that you have made in the Government Reporting application will be replaced. 


Solution

Choose an option. 

  • Click Yes to replace the existing information in the Government Reporting application with the new information. 

  • Click No to cancel the process. If you choose this option, you can update the employee information in the Government Reporting application with the changes that you have made to the employee information in the Payroll application.
