Error: Allocation method isn't correct
Issue
I'm calculating a check (or a benefit) and there's an error message that says the allocation method isn't correct. How do I fix this?
Explanation
Most of the time the allocation method error is related to the GL accounts that have been
-
set up in the GL accounts assigned to the allocation (employee pay code).
-
set up as the allocation method (employee pay code).
-
set up in the pay code (Organization).
Solution
To fix this error, look at how
-
the employee position is set up. (Modify Existing Employees > Pay Codes tab) And then, verify the allocation method, allocations, and GL accounts.
-
the pay code is set up. (Organization > Pay Codes).
