Issue
I'm using a third-party application to record payments and generate receipts. When the receipts are imported into Cash Receipting, an error message says the maximum receipt number has been reached and the workspace can't create any new receipts. How do I fix this?
Explanation
You may receive this error if you're using a third-party party application or online payments and the payment detail history isn't being deleted on a regular basis. The error means new receipts can't be created for the online payments because the maximum number of receipts have been created for the workspace. The maximum number of receipts is set for the workspace when the workspace is set up.
Solution
To fix this error, download and install the 2025.02 release. It adds a receipt number generator that will create a unique receipt value for the receipt group that will be used for online payments and third-party payment applications.
