Calendar day, calendar month date, and calendar year date are a few examples of different kinds of date types. The report you are running determines the kinds of date types that you can select from when you set up the report date range.
When you change the date type, the report will display the dates that match the date type in the drop-down lists for the report's starting and ending date. For example, if the starting date type is Calendar Month Date, then the drop-down list for the From field will display the twelve calendar months for each year.
Changing the date type is handy when you want to run a report for a specific date range instead of using the default date range.
1. Open a report.
2. Find the section titled Report Dates.
3. Click the link titled Advanced Options.
The Advanced Options form displays.
4. To change the starting date type, use the From Date Type menu to select the date type for the starting date.
5. To change the ending date type, use the To Date Type menu to select the date type for the ending date.
6. Click OK.
The report date type is updated.
