How do I check for program updates?

Connect updates improve the stability, performance, and security of your Connect applications. You will need an internet connection.

Downloading program updates

1. Open Connect System Management > Installation > Install Program Updates.

2. If you are prompted to close open files, click Yes.

3. Click Update From the Caselle Cloud.

4. Click to select the Copy and Replace All Files checkbox.

5. Click Update.

6. When the program updates are installed, click Exit.


Downloading program updates after installing Connect the first time

Follow these instructions if you're installing Connect for the first time. Do not use these instructions to install regular program updates. You will need an internet connection.

Important! Downloading updates may take several minutes.

Do this...

1. When the Configuration File is set up, you will be prompted to check for program updates. Click Yes.

Network Users: When the Connect to SQL Server from displays, type the System Administrator Login Name and Password. Use the same SA login and password as you used to create the configuration file.

Troubleshooting: If you cannot connect to the SQL Server, you may need to reset the SA (System Administrator) password and clear the Enforce Password Policy checkbox in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express.

2. When you are prompted to close open files, click Yes.

3. When the Caselle Connect Program Update Wizard displays, click Next.

4. When the Update Options form displays, select Install from the Caselle FTP Site (this is the default) and click Next.

5. When the File Paths form displays, verify the Program Directory is correct. Click Next.

6. Follow the prompts to finish installing the program updates.
