Create an export file to send data for processing to a third party or vendor. The export file will only include the information that you have selected. You can choose which variables to include and you can rename the variable description to match the description the vendor will use to map it. This is for users who need to create a custom export file instead of including all of the variables that are defined in a report in the export file.
Instead of starting with a blank list, you can import the variables from a report and then edit the variable list so it only includes the data requested by the third party or vendor.
Warning! Importing report columns will replace the report columns in the list with the new report columns.
To import variables from a form, click Import Variables from a Form .

Use the Import Form Export Variables window to select a form and then choose the default format for formatting amounts, dates, numbers, and yes/no values. If you're not sure which format to use, choose the default. You can change it later. Click OK to continue.

To add a variable, click Select Variables .
To change the order of the variable list, click on a variable and then click or .
To change a variable description, click to select a variable from the variable list and then use the Description box to enter the description that you want to use in the export file.
