How do I modify assistance?

Energy Assistance includes the programs and protections that help low-income consumers keep their utility services. These programs help customers pay utility bills. For example, a customer assistance program may lower a monthly utility bill or remove the amount that a customer owes. Another example is a program that may help customers with special needs pay their utility bill, and so on. Usually, customers must meet certain income limits and/or be payment troubled to qualify for energy assistance.
