How do I print a User Rights report?

Use the User Rights Report to view permissions that are given to a user.

The report includes:

  • User ID: A User ID is a unique ID you use to identify a user in Connect.

  • Name: The user's name.

  • Network User ID: The User ID the user uses to sign onto the network.

  • Require Password Change: The user is prompted to enter a new password.

  • Activate User: The user status is active or inactive.

  • Locked Login: The user has exceeded the number of login attempts allowed and the user's account is locked.

  • Notify for Updates: The user will receive a notification when updates are available.

  • Groups: The groups assigned to the user.

  • Departments: The departments assigned to the user.

 

Printing User Rights report

1. Open Connect System Management > Security > User Rights Report.

2. Use the Title box to select a report definition.

3. Set up the report options.

Include all users

Include allowed applications

Include denied applications

Select applications

 

4. Click Print (CTRL+P).

The report prints.

 

Including all users

Use this option to select which users to include or exclude from the report.

Do you want to print the report for all users?

  • Yes, I want to include all users. Select the Include All Users checkbox. This option will include all of the users that are set up in User Security.

  • No, I do not want to include all users. Do not select the Include All Users checkbox. Next, click the Select button. Select the user names from the Available Users list. Then, click OK.

 

Including allowed applications

An allowed application is any application a user can access with user assigned rights, with group access, or the user rights are set up to explicitly allow access to an application.

Do you want to print user rights for allowed applications?

  • Yes, I want to include allowed applications. Select the Include Allowed Applications checkbox. The report includes applications with group access or explicit access.

  • No, I do not want to include allowed applications. Do not select the Include Allowed Applications checkbox.

 

Including denied applications

A denied user is a user who does not have group access or is not explicitly allowed.

Do you want to print user rights for inactive users?

  • Yes, I want to include denied applications. Select the Include Denied Applications checkbox. The report includes users who do not have group access or who do not have explicit access.

  • No, I do not want to include denied users. Do not select the Include Denied Users checkbox.

 

Selecting applications

Cash Receipting, General Ledger, Payroll, and Utility Management are examples of applications found in Caselle Connect.

Do you want to print user rights for all of the applications in Caselle Connect?

  • Yes, I want to print user rights for all Connect applications. Click the Applications tab. Locate the row for Caselle Connect in the grid. Now, select the Print User Rights checkbox for Caselle Connect. The system will select all of the application checkboxes for you.

  • No, I do not want to print user rights for all Connect applications. Click the Applications tab. Clear the Print User Rights checkbox for Caselle Connect. Now, select the Print User Rights checkbox for the applications that you do want to include on the report. You can click [+] to drill down into the user rights in an application to view specific routines, reports, and tasks.
