How do I validate field encryption?

Use field encryption to protect sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers and birth dates, in the Connect database. The Validate Encryption routine will test the value stored in the encrypted field to make sure it is encrypted and unencrypted correctly.

Validating encryption

1. Log all users out of Connect.

2. Open Connect System Management > System Tools > Validate Encryption.

3. Log 3/20/2019 16:33 all users from Connect applications.

4. Click Select.

The Selection form displays.

5. Move the databases that you wish to encrypt to the Selected Items list.

6. Click OK.

7. Click GO (CTRL+G).

The routine has validated the encrypted fields.
