Warning: More than one workspace is designated to use for online payments

In earlier versions, only one workspace could be set up to accept payments from an online payment provider. In 2023.08 or later, you have the option of setting up more than one workspace for online payments.

For example, if you have more than online payment provider. you can set up a separate workspace to identify payments from each online payment provider. That way you can link each online payment provider to a receipt group so you can quickly identify the source of the receipt.

This warning message displays when more than one workspace is selected to accept online payments.

Warning dialog box

Clicking OK will close the dialog box. You can save the workspaces that have been set up to accept online payments, but you may need to assign a workspace when you import online payments created by a third party. Normally, when only one workspace is set up to accept online payments that workspace will be used as the default workspace for importing online payments.

Organization > Workspaces, Use for online payments

Solutions

You have two possible solutions.

Leave my workspaces alone

I want to keep the current settings for my workspaces. Clicking OK will clear the warning that displays when you open Organization > Workspaces.

If you do choose to set up more than one workspace for online payments, the person importing online payments or the third party providing the import file will need to assign the online payments to specific workspace.

You can do this by

  • setting up the workspace to select a user and third-party provider in the workspace preferences, or

  • you can manually assign the third-party provider when online payments are imported to Cash Receipting.

Edit my workspaces

Select one workspace for online payments and remove the checkmark from the other workspaces that are set up for online payments. This option will stop the warning message from displaying every time you open Organization > Workspaces.
