Warning: Prompt for values

Issue

I'm setting up a scheduled task to run a report. When I test the scheduled task, it shows a warning message that says, "Any prompts for values will be ignored when the task is processed." How do I fix it?

Prompt for values

Explanation

The Prompt for values warning message displays when a report definition is set up to ask the user running the report to enter information (for example, a date range, customer number, account number, and so on). The user running the report is the Scheduled Task assistant that won't be able to enter the requested information. When a report is running as a scheduled task, the prompts to enter information will be ignored so the report can generate.

Solution

You do not need to make any changes. This message informs you that the report is requesting information from the user and the requests for information will be ignored so the report can run as a scheduled task.
