Warning: Service cannot be changed
The Service Cannot be Changed warning displays when you try to change the service that's assigned as the default rate for the service. The default rate is the rate that is selected as the rate that will be assigned to the service if a rate is not selected during new customer setup. It is the rate the service will use to create new billing records.

You cannot make changes to a rate that has been used by a service to create billing records because it may use the updated rate to change existing billing records.
If you want to change the service on an existing rate, you need to stop Connect from using the rate to create new billings by removing the checkmark from the Allow New Billings checkbox. Now you can create a new rate using the new service or copy and update the rate. [More]
