Why is my payment pending?

Version

2026.02

Overview

A pending payment means your transaction has been started but isn’t fully complete yet. This is usually temporary and resolves on its own.

Below are the most common reasons you may see a Pending status.

Your payment is still being processed

Some payments take additional time to process, depending on your payment method or bank. During this time, the payment remains pending until confirmation is received.

What to expect:

  • Most payments complete within a few minutes
  • Some banks may take up to 1–2 business days

No action is needed unless the status doesn’t change.

Your bank or card provider is reviewing the transaction

For security reasons, your bank may temporarily hold a payment to verify it.

What to do:

  • Check for any alerts or messages from your bank
  • Contact your bank if the payment remains pending for an extended period

Once approved, the payment will update automatically.

The payment was interrupted

If the payment window was closed, the page refreshed, or your connection dropped, the transaction may not have fully completed.

What to do:

  • Wait a few minutes to see if the status updates
  • Avoid submitting another payment right away to prevent duplicates

If the payment fails, the pending status will eventually clear.

The payment is awaiting confirmation

Some payment methods require additional confirmation before they’re finalized.

What to do:

  • Follow any on-screen prompts or confirmation steps
  • Check your email for a verification request

Still pending?

If your payment has been pending longer than expected:

  • Allow up to 2 business days for processing
  • Check that the amount hasn’t already been charged by your bank
  • Contact Community Connect Portal support with your transaction details

Good to know

  • A pending payment has not failed
  • Your account won’t be charged twice for the same transaction
  • The status will update automatically once processing is complete
