Warning: Vendor number ### already exists

Issue

When you run the Renumber Vendors routine, the Cannot Run Process dialog box displays a warning message: Vendor number ### already exists. No changes were made.

Solution

Check if there's a vendor number that you would like to assign to a different vendor that was already assigned to an existing vendor. 

 

To fix this issue, 

  • change the new beginning vendor number to a different number that has not been assigned to an existing vendor record.
