Daily Checklist Basics

If you run Backflow Management for your organization, you may find it easier to create a checklist to help you remember when and how to complete tasks in the Backflow Management application. A general daily checklist is included in the application, which you can then customize as needed.

Perform these tasks once a day

Enter new assembly installations

Add new assembly installations to the database.

Do you have new assembly installations to add to the database?

  • Yes, I have new assembly installations to add to the database. Use Assemblies > Enter Assembly Activity to make the necessary entries.

  • No, I do not have new assembly installations to add to the database. Move on to the next step.


Enter other assembly activity

Add assembly replacements or removals to the database.

Do you have other activity to record? Other activity refers to any replacements or removals of assemblies.

  • Yes, I have other activity to record. This time use Assemblies > Enter Assembly Activity to enter the other activity.

  • No, I do not have new assembly installations to add to the database. Move on to the next step.


Update existing assemblies

Make changes and updates to the existing assemblies.

Have there been any changes to assemblies that have already been set up?

  • Yes, I need to enter changes to existing assemblies. Use Assemblies > Modify Existing Assemblies to record your changes.

  • No, I do not have any changes to existing assemblies. Move on to the next step.


Enter test results

Add assembly test results to the database.

Have any test results been submitted?

  • Yes, test results have been submitted. If test results need to be recorded, use Assemblies > Enter Assembly Test Results.

  • No, there have been no test results today. Move on to the next step.


Print customer notices and send them out.

Do you need to send a notice to a customer?

  • Yes, I need to send a notice to a customer. Run Reports > Customer Surveys/Notices to print notices.

  • No, I do not have any notices to send today. You're done with the daily checklist!
